Okay, some of you guys know I’ve been working to get guardianship of my cousin for some time. I’ve gotten a lawyer in Owosso MI named Jamie Knickerbocker and before she can file this petition for me, I need to pay the retainer she quoted me of $1000. If you can help at all please do, every little bit counts. I’ve been in touch with CPS and they don’t feel like they’ll win if they file, but they think I will with a lawyer and are willing to support me when asked by the judge. If I can just get the lawyer I think I can save my cousin!!!! Every little bit helps so if you’re able, please please please consider making a contribution <3

Hey tumblr, this is really important to me & I’m supposed to see (& hopefully pay) the lawyer in 5 days. CPS support for me in front of the judge rides on me continuing to have them see me as reliable & capable, so I’m nervous of having to put court proceedings off & having them withdraw support from me. I have a couple hundred in cash on my own, & a bit in the gofundme from lovely people, but I still need roughly $900!!! If you could contribute, or even just boost this on your pages if you can’t, it would mean so much to me. Thanks for reading 💜

This is what the woman who has my cousin did to her own 17 year old daughter this past August. Yes she was arrested for it and spent a weekend in jail, I don’t know what longer reaching punishment she received from it because it’s not as though I speak to her. However, removing my cousin Ian was not something that took place at that time. The CPS worker involved then was kind of an asshat. He’s no longer on the case, and there are 2 workers involved now that are both interested in getting Ian out of there and supporting me in court. If it had been them managing the case when this happened, they would have removed Ian then, but unfortunately it was not.

A month after this event, the same woman chased her husband with a knife and was involuntarily placed in a psych hold for 72 hours. Again, the old worker did not remove Ian, and I did complain to his superiors regularly. The workers now involved are waiting for her to do something similar soon to file for removal, but I do not want to wait and neither do they, if I can get him out sooner they want me to. 

Please help me do this by helping me pay my lawyer’s retainer. I am utterly *terrified* that the picture you see above of 17 year old Sherry Jane, her own daughter that she viciously beat after viewing Sherry Jane kiss her black boyfriend, will next be 2 year old Ian the next time this woman finds her rage. Please, please, help me prevent that. He’s not as big as Sherry Jane. She came away with a concussion. He might not be so lucky.

This is a screenshot of a *different* day Sherry’s mother hit her in the face less severely, as well as a healing cut that was on Ian’s hand once when I picked him up from Shelley. She didn’t know how he’d gotten it, because when she’s coming down off her fix she sleeps so hard she cannot be woken, and Ian would run wild through the house unattended and end up getting hurt.

I am so grateful to those that have donated so far!! I still need approx. $800 to meet my goal, & I really hope to get there! Thank you for reading this <3

These are alllll clothes in 2T that Ian was to grow into. Please understand that while I cared for him for 17 months, I bought almost everything he owned and he was with me more often than he was with the woman I’m fighting against. These are all the clothes in his room at my house that are waiting for him to come back to. He was cared for and cherished here, and will be again if I can get him/

Hey guys, some people were still interested in donating and I was planning on opening this back up for help with court fees anyway. There MAY end up being more than the initial filing fee, but right now I know that to petition for guardianship of a minor in my county is $175, so I raised the gofundme $200 (they take a portion) so that those interested can still help. I still don’t know if there will be more fees or if my lawyer will use the full retainer, but I don’t want to ask for funds until I need them. However, with the lawyer hired, the next step is filing within the next week likely, and I know the price for that already.
